A profession, not a weekend workshop
There is no shortage of short courses promising to make you a practitioner in a fortnight. IIRIA takes the opposite position: holistic practice touches people's health, so the training is structured, sequenced and assessed over three years.
The curriculum is built as thirteen modules across three years, each one a prerequisite for the next.
Year 1 — Foundations and reflexology
Module 1 — Anatomical & physiological foundations. The human systems you will be reasoning about, taught at the depth a practitioner actually needs.
Module 2 — Plantar, palmar & facial cartography. Mapping the reflex zones of feet, hands and face. This is the module students most often say rewires how they see the body.
Module 3 — Analytical reflexology & session engineering. Anamnesis technique, structuring a session, knowing when not to proceed.
Module 4 — Pressure techniques, lymphatic drainage, nutritherapy. The manual and nutritional toolkit.
Year 2 — Iridology
Module 5 — Ocular anatomy & iris topography. The anatomical basis before any interpretation is allowed.
Module 6 — Constitution, density & iris structures. Constitutional typing and structural reading.
Module 7 — Toxin overloads, pigmentations, inflammatory states. Reading accumulation and inflammation signs responsibly.
Module 8 — Ethics, vitality assessment, terrain correction. Where the profession's boundaries are, and how to stay inside them.
Year 3 — Integration and clinical practice
Module 9 — Eye-foot synergy & crossed matrix. The signature IIRIA method: no conclusion from a single sign.
Module 10 — Advanced integrated holistic care protocols. Multi-modality protocol design.
Module 11 — Complex clinical cases & AI-simulated consultations. You practise on simulated patients before you practise on real ones.
Module 12 — ISO-ready emergency response & first aid. FAST, BLS, CPR and AED. Non-negotiable for anyone working with bodies.
Module 13 — Graduation thesis & IRIF induction. You defend a thesis, then join the federation.
How you are assessed
Each module closes with a quiz you must pass before the next unlocks. Year 3 adds supervised case work and a defended thesis. Nobody advances by attendance alone.
What you can do afterwards
Graduates join the IRIF Professional Federation, which gives them:
- A listing in the public practitioner directory that patients search
- Access to the virtual clinic and to Phase 2 HHGA referrals
- Continuing education and peer case review
- Professional recognition tied to a documented curriculum
That last point matters commercially. Patients completing a Phase 1 HHGA are routed to certified practitioners for Phase 2 — so certification is not just a credential, it is a patient pipeline.
Studying alongside a job
Modules are delivered online and are self-paced within each term, with live sessions for practical work. Most students study part-time while working.
